The International Wine Festival presents famous Hungarian wine specialities and wine
regions

BUDAFOK CHAMPAGNE AND WINE FESTIVAL
13-15 September
Budafok's fame rest on the Hungarian Törley Champagne Factory. Of the many wine
cellars in the area several can be visited as part of programmes spiced up with folk
dance performances, Swab parties and (depending on the season) vintage balls.

MFEMFEMF AUTUMN FESTIVAL
17 October - 2 November
dance, theatre performances, films, photograph expositions. A festival recommended to
friends of contemporary art. Programmes include dance, theatre performances, films,
photograph expositions, computer art, etc.

CHRISTMAS FAIR
28 November -24 December
Christmas fairs are held in several parts of the city during December, but the best
feeling can be find at the Vörösmarty Square.. Museums evoke the folk traditions related
to Christmas, and stage fairs selling different applied art works.

NEW YEAR'S EVE PROGRAMMES
30-31 December
On the penultimate day of the year the Benkó Dixieland Band will liven things up with a
Farewell to the Old Year concert. On the same day the world famous 100-member
Gypsy Orchestra will also bid farewell to the year with a grand concert. A ball will be
staged in the Opera House on the 31st, and there will be a party on Parade Square
(Felvonulási tér) to welcome in the New Year.
